I revisit Chapter 8 with the new additions about Thiamine, H2S, mitochondria and SIBO. I also read Chapter 9 regarding the affects of oxidation on various oils, the differences in potency regarding fish oils vs. plant oils, the effects animal diets have on animal products regarding oils and the effects of oils on gene expression, especially in trauma situations like sepsis.
I also showcase some great new videos and what you can learn from them.
Tip: “malnutrition induced malnutrition”, a term coined by researchers to describe how thiamine deficiency can lead to all other nutrient deficiencies across the board. In other words, a chronic thiamine deficiency can indirectly produce an inability to digest and absorb foods, and therefore produce a deficiency in most of the other vitamins and minerals. Regarding Thiamine and malnutrition induced malnutrition. I suffered from daily cramps, legs, hands, feet, chest, stomach muscles etc. for over a decade, in fact I used to wonder how my toes could even go so far in an unnatural direction. The best remedy for cramps is Concentrace Mineral Drops, will alleviate cramps in less than five minutes and I’ve tried them all. At some points so severe I would be in tears. Once SAM is fully addressed, they disappear. As you may know I had optic neuritis (blind for a little over a year, since fully healed) and I would say the majority of symptoms associated with thiamine deficiency.
Meant to say I prefer natural vitamins in their natural state, not natural oils. As this chapter clearly demonstrates the same oils (Omega 3’s) can have different potency effects from different sources. The historical efficacy plus or minus was shown using naturally sourced products , cod liver oil, butter, whole fat milk, olive oil etc. The only mass produced ‘vitamin’ I use is Sodium Ascorbate.
The key experiment was performed by McCollum and co-workers in 1922, when they observed that heated, oxidized cod-liver oil could not prevent xerophthalmia (Vitamin A deficiency blindness) but could cure rickets in the rats.
Is the Gut the Driving Force of Systemic Inflammation?
Yes.
He is a surgeon/nutritionist but it is still not clear how he is able to enact widespread clinical practice change unless he is just referring to surgical outcomes in ICU or surgical best practices.
Regarding the pharmacist reluctance segment, still a little confusing but I think he was trying to highlight the resistance to change in general regarding ‘microbes’.
And the yogurt question…. he seems to imply the benefits are strain specific not necessarily that yogurt is not effective.
IBD is not caused by leaky gut.
Brand new. VAERS reporting numbers and vaccine damage from various CV19 vaccines, brief overview of the latest vaccine news, followed by homeopathy.
All medicine has to be effective, safe and moral in all aspects to the greatest degree possible; respecting the nature of a medicinal. Effective + safe = moral. Otherwise stay away from people so you can at least do no harm.

are major protective factors against malnutrition and critical factors in the maturation of healthy gut microbiota, characterized by a transient bifidobacterial bloom before a global rise in anaerobes. Early depletion in gut Bifidobacterium longum, a typical maternal probiotic, known to inhibit pathogens, represents the first step in gut microbiota alteration associated with severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Later, the absence of the Healthy Mature Anaerobic Gut Microbiota (HMAGM) leads to deficient energy harvest, vitamin biosynthesis and immune protection, and is associated with diarrhea, malabsorption and systemic invasion by microbial pathogens. A therapeutic diet and infection treatment may be unable to restore bifidobacteria and HMAGM.
Researchers found that malnourished children’s microbiota failed to follow the healthy pattern they identified in healthy children. The microbiota of malnourished children is immature, lagging in development behind that of their healthy peers. Supplementing these children’s meals with widely used therapeutic foods that increase calories and nutrient density reduces deaths from malnutrition, but it does not fix their persistent microbiota immaturity.
“Perhaps more insidious than slowing growth is malnutrition’s effect on less visible aspects of health, including impaired brain development and dysfunctional immunity, which follow these children throughout their lives”.

SIBO
SIBO can cause severe malabsorption, serious malnutrition and immune deficiency syndromes in children (non breastfed) and adults.
Prognosis is usually serious, determined mostly by the underlying disease that led to SIBO.
Immunizations
The WHO recommends that immunization or treatment be orally administered due to economic, logistical and security reasons. Furthermore, this route offers important advantages over systemic administration, such as reducing side effects, as the molecules are administered locally and have the ability to stimulate the GALT immune responses (Levine and Dougan, 1998; Neutra and Kozlowski, 2006; Bermúdez-Humarán et al., 2011).
Infections
For ANY infectious or parasitic disease to start, it is ALWAYS a requisite that the host suffer IMMUNODEFICIENCY. At the same time, infectious and parasitic diseases themselves cause additional IMMUNE SUPPRESSION and more MALNUTRITION. This immune suppression is SECONDARY to the accumulation of free radicals, especially oxidizing species, that occurs during and after infectious and parasitic diseases.
