I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to write about this week considering I’ve lost all my notes, all my bookmarks and YouTube now thinks I’m a complete stranger as I haven’t been getting ‘suggested’ programming based on my interests and then this video below popped up out of the blue. Somehow it seems appropriate to my life as of late. Word to the wise, buyer beware, always look right under your nose and there is always a story behind a story and another behind that and another behind that. If Apple thinks I am going to buy a new computer or camera every year like a disposable lighter (and have that waste end up in a landfill) they have another thought coming. I still don’t have a smart phone because I spend enough hours in the day tethered to a cancer causing device and I don’t have to be joined at the hip to another one, speaking of looking right under your nose for sudden ‘outbursts’ of ‘disease’.
Remember the Morton Salt Girl and the industrial history of salt. When crows are gathering around shiny balls chances are pretty good the first thing you should put on is a detective cap and see who is going to benefit. Here’s a hint, it’s usually not you.
Vegan vs. carnivore or any other buzz words on your labels are divisive propaganda that serve no good purpose aside from enriching corporations. So be careful; the narrative you are being fed regarding the history of food and/or products comes from a marketer. Example, where is the plastic bottle for Loreal Conditioner going to end up? Soap product packaging alone was replaced by a trillion plastic bottles, it used to come in bio degradable paper wrappers or boxes, how did that happen? Clever marketing.
I have no dog in the fight against Skyr or Chobani, just that consumer beware, you are going to be producing a lot of stinky gas because casein is very difficult to digest and that gas might actually speed up your transit time if you get my drift. As far as milk components go it’s at the bottom as compared to other milk component benefits, even as a metabolite. Milk is like any other whole food, all components work together to achieve the greatest benefit from each substance within that whole. Occasional use of Greek Yogurt is fine.
Top Benefits Of Acid Whey
- Your immune system would not be able to function without galactose Your body wouldn’t know which cells are “good” and what cells are “bad.” Your body wouldn’t know who the invaders were and which ones should be attacked by antibodies. Acid whey contains more than twice the amount of galactose as ‘sweet’ or ‘cheese whey’ making it a beneficial addition to the control of insulin resistance, diabetes, metabolic syndrome and perhaps obesity.
Liquid whey (acid whey) is a super food called ‘the breast milk for adults’, it can restore protein deficiency, is a great liver and kidney tonic, is full of ionic minerals like magnesium, is easily digestible and full of lactose for the perfect energy ‘food’ for lactic acid bacteria. Lactose does not cause necrotizing enterocolitis in premature infants, unlike formula with novel prebiotics like inulin. Liquid whey proteins are easily digested, have a full complement of amino acids. Liquid whey is equal to milk for kwashiorkor.
The typical composition of milk comprises about 3.6% protein, out of which casein predominates at approximately 80% and remaining 20% are whey proteins. Whey proteins are unique, superior proteins with many health benefits. Whey proteins are absorbed faster in body than casein. Plasma amino acids are more rapidly elevated following whey protein consumption. Whey proteins are superior to gelatin proteins.
Cells in the body are rapidly able to derive energy from whey. Apart from being a good source of energy, lactose that is converted to lactic acid in the intestine helps in the regulation of intestinal flora by promoting growth of good bacteria and inhibiting development of putrefactive bacteria that produce toxins causing bloating and gas. The lactic acid found in fresh whey is L+ lactic acid rather than D- lactic acid and is easily metabolized. Lactose support LAB (such as Bifidobacteria & Lacto-bacilli).
- Stallic acids are a type of oligosaccharides found in whey that possess prebiotic properties. These organic acids possess antimicrobial properties, particularly against E. coli. They help to lower the pH of the intestine and increase the secretion of bile juices and absorption of nutrients.
- The vitamin content of whey provides nearly all B vitamins. Liquid whey contributes several minerals to the diet. One cup of acid whey provides 250 mg of calcium and 200 mg of phosphorus. Whey supplies potassium, magnesium and zinc. Liquid whey contains more calcium than milk in the form of calcium phosphate that selectively stimulates the growth of intestinal lactobacilli and decreases Salmonella infections.
- Acid whey activates CNS macrophages. Microglial cells are the resident macrophages of the central nervous system (CNS), including the retina, and play a pivotal role in innate immune responses. Despite being cells of the mononuclear phagocyte lineage, their CNS-specific location and morphology clearly distinguishes them from other macrophage populations. Acid whey reverses neurodegenerative and retina inflammation by activating CNS macrophages.
- Whey proteins decrease inflammation as compared to casein. It was found that the consumption of whey proteins depleted the plasma levels of proinflammatory cytokines as compared to casein.
An agenda and narrative in the making whereas the ‘fertilizer’ contributor to algal growth is much greater from agriculture (fertilizer) and urban/industrial sanitation/production rather than dairy but if you’re a vegan that narrative doesn’t fit. The greatest contributor is restriction of water depth and flow (dams) which if not restricted would produce ozone and greatly improve water quality, air quality in addition to improving plant growth. The steep rise of pathogens around 1900-1910 concurs with advent of water sanitation in the US. To date most municipal water sanitation in the US employs disinfectant methods. Industrial practice and urbanization overall is a major contributor. One thing is for certain, oxygen depletion in oceans is definitely not due to yogurt or cheese.
Chances are better the ‘waste’ will end up as a pharmaceutical and not in infant formula or any other food product. When you hear the word ‘goldmine’ look for a banker and a stock holder, not an inventor or a ‘scientist’. The only thing standing between you and a shareholder regarding colostrum supplements is a dairy farmer or a herdsman who will refuse any attempt at adulteration of that particular milk product as it will lead to death of numerous animals as it is a universal donor (and no you are not being selfish by using it, the animal health comes first and cows are not hanging on their mother as long as you should be but the first 24 hours are crucial). Whole fat mammal milk is best and regular whole fat mammal milk is better than organic which undergoes more processing. The less processing the better. Whole foods are better and that means keep the acid whey in the yogurt to avoid digestive and metabolic issues that will almost certainly arise due to excessive consumption of hard to digest casein (it is not like fiber).

are major protective factors against malnutrition and critical factors in the maturation of healthy gut microbiota, characterized by a transient bifidobacterial bloom before a global rise in anaerobes. Early depletion in gut Bifidobacterium longum, a typical maternal probiotic, known to inhibit pathogens, represents the first step in gut microbiota alteration associated with severe acute malnutrition (SAM). Later, the absence of the Healthy Mature Anaerobic Gut Microbiota (HMAGM) leads to deficient energy harvest, vitamin biosynthesis and immune protection, and is associated with diarrhea, malabsorption and systemic invasion by microbial pathogens. A therapeutic diet and infection treatment may be unable to restore bifidobacteria and HMAGM.
Researchers found that malnourished children’s microbiota failed to follow the healthy pattern they identified in healthy children. The microbiota of malnourished children is immature, lagging in development behind that of their healthy peers. Supplementing these children’s meals with widely used therapeutic foods that increase calories and nutrient density reduces deaths from malnutrition, but it does not fix their persistent microbiota immaturity.
“Perhaps more insidious than slowing growth is malnutrition’s effect on less visible aspects of health, including impaired brain development and dysfunctional immunity, which follow these children throughout their lives”.

SIBO
SIBO can cause severe malabsorption, serious malnutrition and immune deficiency syndromes in children (non breastfed) and adults.
Prognosis is usually serious, determined mostly by the underlying disease that led to SIBO.
Immunizations
The WHO recommends that immunization or treatment be orally administered due to economic, logistical and security reasons. Furthermore, this route offers important advantages over systemic administration, such as reducing side effects, as the molecules are administered locally and have the ability to stimulate the GALT immune responses (Levine and Dougan, 1998; Neutra and Kozlowski, 2006; Bermúdez-Humarán et al., 2011).
Infections
For ANY infectious or parasitic disease to start, it is ALWAYS a requisite that the host suffer IMMUNODEFICIENCY. At the same time, infectious and parasitic diseases themselves cause additional IMMUNE SUPPRESSION and more MALNUTRITION. This immune suppression is SECONDARY to the accumulation of free radicals, especially oxidizing species, that occurs during and after infectious and parasitic diseases.

Current IBD Research 2016
Currently available treatments for IBD, which target the systemic immune system, induce immunosuppression, thereby exposing the patient to the risk of infections and malignancy. The interplay between the gut and the systemic immune system determines the final effect on target organs, including the bowel mucosa. Inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) are associated with an altered systemic immune response leading to inflammation-mediated damage to the gut and other organs.

Most importantly, the immune modulatory agents used today for IBD do not achieve remission in many patients.
Not all IBD patients benefit from currently available drugs. Young people with IBD do not want to be on long-term drug therapy. Oral immune therapy, while not yet studied in large cohorts of patients, may provide an answer to this unmet need.

Tolerance
Tolerance is the ability of the immune system to ‘see’ and respond appropriately. Without galactose (a necessary sugar) the immune system can not 'see'. Your immune system would not be able to function without galactose Your body wouldn’t know which cells are
“good” and what cells are “bad.” Your body wouldn’t know who the invaders were and which ones should be attacked by antibodies. As you will learn the importance of these ‘sugars’ in gut microbiota health is a rapidly expanding field of research, only recently
discovered, including HMO's (human milk oligosaccharides).
Why galactose?
Milk sugar aka lactose has been shown to be very beneficial for the human body though unlike sucrose, lactose is made up of glucose and galactose. There is no fructose in lactose. It is a healthy disaccharide sugar. Galactose is known as the “brain sugar” and supports brain development of babies and children. Galactose helps triggers long-term memory formation. Galactose has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and stop its spread, particularly to the liver. This beneficial sugar can also enhance wound healing, decrease inflammation, enhances cellular communication, and increases calcium absorption.
What does immune ‘tolerance’ mean in simple language?
Immune tolerance, or immunological tolerance, or immunotolerance, is a state of unresponsiveness of the immune system to
substances or tissue that have the capacity to elicit an immune response in a given organism. The Th1 cytokine profile is vital for clearance of certain organisms and ancillary immune activity, and a limiting effect on this cytokine profile may result in reduced chances for overcoming infections especially intra-cellular organisms residing within macrophages.
Effective clearance will depend on appropriate macrophage activation (which occurs through IFN≥ release by Th1 and NK cells) and production of nitric oxide. If this pathway is disrupted IFN≥ secretion is blocked, impairing macrophage activation.
Persistent blockade of these inhibitory receptors has lead to the breakdown in immune self tolerance, thereby increasing susceptibility to autoimmune or auto-inflammatory side effects, including rash, colitis, hepatitis and endocrinopathies.
Many drugs may cause checkpoint blockade toxicity including pharmaceutical drugs termed ‘immuno therapy’ by pharmaceutical companies, these include Mab drugs and cancer treatments.

The Elderly
Mammal milk is required for enhanced phagocytosis as shown by research, especially in the elderly. Whole fat mammal milk can actually restore phagocytosis in senescent cells in the elderly. Phagocytosis, by which immune cells ‘eat’ bacteria or infected cells, is one of the mechanisms that help to resist infections. Lactic acid bacteria strains like acidophilus also increases phagocytosis.
